Dogs are welcome on Barcelona's beaches throughout the year, but there are seasonal restrictions to keep in mind. During the bathing season—spanning from the Saturday before Good Friday to Easter Monday and weekends from April to October—dogs are not allowed on the beach. More stringent restrictions apply from the weekend before June 1st until the weekend after September 11th, during which access for dogs is only permitted at the designated pet-friendly area on Llevant Beach. Guide dogs, however, are always allowed without restriction.
